The Wharf’s signature concert series continues in September with performances from Green Day with special guest Catfish and The Bottle Men plus Eric Church with special guests Brothers Osborne and Ashley McBryde.


  1. Flora-Bama’s Bulls on the Beach

Date: September 8-9, 2017

The 5th annual Flora-Bama event features professional bull riders show their stuff on the beaches. Onlookers can ride a mechanical bull and enjoy the Flora-Bama’s signature drinks.

Date: September 14-16, 2017

In its fourth year, this wine and food festival is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events on the Gulf Coast.   1. Annual John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest

Date: October 4-7, 2017

Each year, bird-lovers flock to the Alabama Coastal BirdFest for nature- and bird-watching plus the Bird & Conservation Expo in Fairhope which features exhibits like raptor and snake shows, kids activities, and more.

Date: October 12-15, 2017

The biggest festival on the Alabama Gulf Coast is the National Shrimp Festival. Date: October 28, 2017

Elberta, Alabama is known for both its German heritage and the sausage festival that was born from it. About 6,000 pounds of sausage are sold each year plus festival goers can enjoy carnival rides and traditional music.

Date: November 3-4, 2017

Craft beer and oysters come together for a weekend made in seafood-loving heaven! Over 70 chefs (including celebrities from Food Network) will be at the event to showcase this delicacy on the half shell in November!


  1. World Food Championships

Date: November 8-14, 2017

All year long, chefs are cooking, baking, and grilling to try to earn a spot at The World Food Championships. In November, they battle it out to be named the official World Champion, plus win $100,000! Guests of the festival are able to attend multiple events throughout the week, plus watch the big competition live!
